A Novel Way to Treat Bone Cancer

Bone Cancer arises from the cells that make up the bones of the body. When cancer is detected in the bones, it either originated from there or has spread to the bone after originating elsewhere. This is known as cancer that has metastasized to the bone. Less commonly, cancer can begin within the bone as primary bone cancer. Primary and metastatic bone cancers are often treated separately and have a different prognosis.

Causes of Bone Cancer

As with other cancers, there is no single cause of bone cancer. In general, cancers arise when normal cell growth and proliferation is disturbed, allowing abnormal cells to divide and grow uncontrollably. The actual cause of bone cancer is still unknown. Patients with chronic inflammatory diseases such as Paget's disease, those who have undergone radiation therapy, those diagnosed with hereditary retinoblastoma and Li-Fraumeni syndrome, and infants with umbilical hernia  are at a higher risk of contracting bone cancer later in life.
Symptoms of Bone Cancer

Initial symptoms of bone cancer are pain and swelling where the tumor is located. The pain can become more severe and steady in later stages with regular movement and result in swelling neat the soft tissues.

A tumor that occurs in or near the joints may cause the joint to swell and become tender or stiff. This means a person may have a limited and painful range of movement.

If a bone with a tumor breaks or fractures in a leg, it can lead to an obvious limp. Limping is usually caused in later-stage bone cancer. Mobility reduces if the location of the tumor is near a joint, thereby making normal, day-to-day movements difficult or painful. Other less common symptoms that are rarely seen in people with bone cancer are fever, generally feeling unwell, weight loss, anemia, etc.

As in other types of cancers, even bone cancers can be treated in a number of ways. It can be treated surgically or through radiation. Some types of bone cancers may even require chemotherapy in addition to surgery. Homoeopathy is a holistic system of medication which utilizes the power of a human body’s immune system to cure or stop the occurrence of diseases. The DSA approach primarily utilizes homeopathic medicines. Homeopathic treatment relies on the concept of ‘Similia Similibus Curentur’ which means ‘let like be cured by like’ and these are the only medicines available within the medical world for directly  and curatively influencing the vitality.
